Blue

I love to play with my friend Blue

He’s oh so big and quite cute too

We dance and sing and run around

Sometimes he snorts with a funny sound

I fly in circles here and there

He never knows where I’ll appear

His big eyes roll until I land

I pat him gently with my hand

I sit upon his trunk so high

No need to fly to soar the sky

I tangle him with vines of green

That is how I make a swing

Softly he goes two and fro

Sometimes he’s kind of slow

So faster faster I do cry

I want to reach the blue blue sky

So Blue begins to shake his head

I feel the wind and rush ahead

Great fun we have as day goes by

We both agreed with a tired sigh

As the sky darkens and night does fall

Shadows depart one big one small
